COLORFUL DOOR is an independent music and artistic project based in Vienna, Austria, created by Bosnian-born author, poet and musician Ramo Kurtovic.
The project brings together music, poetry and contemporary sound production, moving between alternative, indie pop, rock, trip-hop, electronic music and elements of traditional Bosnian musical sensibility. At the heart of COLORFUL DOOR are original lyrics, melodies and intimate stories shaped by themes of memory, time, human relationships, identity, loss and everyday life.
Alongside COLORFUL DOOR, Ramo Kurtovic is a member of DULDU, a Vienna-based trip-hop and electro-rock duo. DULDU explores darker electronic textures, atmospheric soundscapes and alternative rock influences, creating a distinct space between electronic music and live-oriented rock aesthetics.
Ramo Kurtovic is also a published poet and the author of “EXIT,” a collection of poetry exploring the inner world of the individual through fragmented thoughts, personal reflections and observations of people, time and the spaces we inhabit.
His artistic work is not limited to a single genre or aesthetic. Through COLORFUL DOOR, DULDU and his literary work, he explores the connection between music, poetry, contemporary production and visual expression. Modern digital and generative technologies are used as creative and production tools, while authorship, songwriting, melody, interpretation and artistic direction remain at the center of the work.
Based in Vienna, his work connects Balkan cultural roots with contemporary European alternative music and a personal, introspective artistic language.
