Vienna, February 14, 2025 — Colorful Door released “HA?”, a nine-track German-language album exploring love, relationships, disappointment, human contradictions, self-reflection and the traces people leave behind.Released on February 14, 2025, “HA?” represents another dimension of the Colorful Door project, expanding its musical and lyrical language into German while maintaining the project's characteristic focus on atmosphere, emotion and personal storytelling.The title “HA?” itself can be understood as a short reaction to the contradictions and absurdities of everyday life — an expression of surprise, disbelief, uncertainty or simply a moment of questioning.The album opens with “Du gehst weiter”, a song about moving forward while carrying the weight of the past. “Wegen dir” turns toward the emotional influence another person can have on our lives, while “Vielleicht” introduces uncertainty and the possibility that things may not always be what they seem.With “Das ist nicht meine Party”, the album takes a more ironic and detached perspective. “Labyrinth” and “Heuchler” explore confusion, human contradictions and the masks people sometimes wear.The final part of the album moves toward memory and impermanence. “Linden”, “Spuren des Lebens” and “Leute gehen” reflect on places, memories and the people who eventually leave our lives.Together, the nine tracks create an emotional journey that moves between intimacy, observation, irony and melancholy.

“HA?” expands the linguistic and artistic range of Colorful Door. While the project moves across different languages and musical forms, this album places German-language songwriting at the centre.For a Vienna-based project, the German-language repertoire also creates a direct connection with audiences in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.The voice of Emma Gentili is central to the album, adding a distinctive vocal character to the songs and helping connect the different emotional perspectives across the record.The album was produced by Colorful Door and Edd Wood, with Edd Wood also responsible for mixing and mastering.“HA?” is not simply a German-language release. It is another chapter in the continuing evolution of Colorful Door — a project moving freely between songwriting, poetry, electronic production, spoken word and different musical languages.
