Vienna, January 3, 2025 — Colorful Door released “On the Road”, an instrumental jazz EP built around atmosphere, melodic simplicity and the quiet emotional language of jazz guitar.Featuring six instrumental compositions, the EP unfolds like a personal musical journal. Rather than focusing on virtuosity or technical display, “On the Road” places emphasis on melody, composition, space and the subtle emotional character of each piece.Produced by Colorful Door and Edd Wood, the EP was developed in Vienna during 2024 and 2025. Edd Wood's production approach gives the recordings a warm and spacious character, allowing the guitar and compositions to remain at the centre of the listening experience.The six tracks feel like different moments of the same journey.“Lees is More” opens the EP with a relaxed, understated atmosphere, setting the tone for what follows. “Next Step” suggests movement and transition, while “Fog” introduces a more mysterious and atmospheric dimension.With “Owl”, the music becomes nocturnal and contemplative. “Jaffa” adds another colour to the journey, while the final track, “By The Way”, closes the EP with the feeling of continuing forward without necessarily knowing exactly where the road leads.The music does not demand attention through complexity. Instead, it creates a space in which the listener can slow down.“On the Road” can be heard as a collection of musical postcards — fragments of walks through quiet streets, late-night reflections and moments of creative solitude.The EP's restrained approach is intentional. Colorful Door does not attempt to turn the guitar into a display of technical achievement. The focus remains on melodic clarity, compositional elegance and refined ambient texture.The result is an intimate instrumental work that sits somewhere between jazz guitar, ambient sound and contemporary instrumental music.
